We Are Forestry Video Launch

As part of the 150th anniversary of South Australia’s forest industries, the South Australian 
Forest Products Association (SAFPA) is proud to release our new video, We Are Forestry.

This short film tells the story of the people, communities, and businesses that make up our 
plantation forest industries and highlights the vital role we play in jobs, housing, and climate 
solutions.

Thank you to the 40 individuals who contributed to this video production, representing 22 
forestry businesses and associations. 

Forestry – it’s more than just growing trees! 

It’s about the people, the communities, and the opportunity to build our state. 
South Australia is proudly the birthplace of the nation's commercial forestry plantations -
starting 150 years ago!

That legacy continues today as an industry that grows tiny seedlings into structural timber 
frames, producing essential wood fibre products needed in our everyday life, whilst also leading 
the change on climate solutions. 

At SAFPA, we’re proud to shine a light on the individuals behind the scenes – the people who 
make the forest and timber industries what they are today: authentic, purposeful, and future-focused.
