International Study Tour 2026 - Industrialised Construction & Advanced Manufacturing in England and Sweden

Join industry leaders and peers on an exclusive study tour through England and Sweden in November 2026, exploring the latest developments in industrialised construction and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).

The tour focuses on the end-to-end process of delivering prefabricated buildings, from digital design and BIM modelling through to factory manufacture and on-site installation of panelised and modular building systems.

Tour Highlights

Participants will gain firsthand exposure to world-class manufacturing facilities, advanced digital workflows, and leading construction businesses, including:

•    Visits to vertically integrated builders operating their own panelised manufacturing facilities.
•    Tours of factories using the latest robotic and automated production technologies for wall, floor, and roof systems.
•    Insight into modular construction processes using prefabricated wall, floor, and ceiling elements.
•    Visits to automated roof truss manufacturing operations.
•    Attendance at the Randek Open House in Sweden, showcasing the company's latest robotic systems for wall frame and roof truss production, with opportunities to meet the team behind the technology.
•    A visit to a design office using hsbcad software to create BIM models and prepare projects for automated manufacturing.
•    Practical demonstrations of how digital workflows improve quality, productivity, traceability, and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
•    Site visits to see prefabricated components being installed and utilised in real-world construction projects.

When

Wednesday 11th to Wednesday 18th November 2026 (official overseas activities).

Participants can complete the tour in as little as 12 days, including one weekend.

Cost

Currently being finalised. We are planning to include in the cost the hotels, lunches, dinners during the group tour days.  As well as the cost of bus transport.
